QUALITY




The products processing must meet strict hygiene standards. This is why the implemented quality control system is based on HACCP principles. Several times a year, the installations and processes are audited, in particular by NSF Certification UK Ltd. in order to obtain BRC and IFS certifications.
The preservation methods are linked to the marinade’s low pH, the salting and smoking of the carefully selected raw materials. The finished products are covered with sunflower oil, which insulates them from the air.
Thanks to the strict respect of manufacturing procedures and processes, a comfortable BBD is guaranteed to the products (from 4 to 12 months). These must be kept refrigerated until the time of tasting.

History
The founders of Sastas-Tapasmar have more
than 25 years of experience. They built up a
solid experience in the world of processed fish products as well as in the retail and foodservice sectors.
Today, we offer our products on 4 continents. Many supermarket chains have opted for our delights packaged under their brand or under ours (Tapasmar and North Point).
We market our products worldwide from Belgium and pay particular attention to service in our relations with our import-partners.
PRODUCTION SITE
Sastas’* production site is based on the Black Sea (Turkey), at the source of one of the best varieties of anchovies: ENGRAULIS ENCRASICOLUS. Five generations ago, the Demircioglu family started a business in the trading of fish products. Later they diversified into sea bass and trout farming.
Since the end of the 2000s, Sastas* is the ultra-modern processing entity for processed fish marketed exclusively for export via Sastas-Tapasmar.
The procedures and the authentic know-how
guarantee an irreproachable quality certified by international labels including the MSC label for sustainable fishing.
